The Doors, Rush
Van Halen broke up when Edward Van Halen died . Ed was always the leader of the band because he wrote all the songs .
Smths?
Other than the brothers, no one outside the UK can even name a member of Oasis. The brothers are only known because of their moronic antics.
Come on now, Pink Floyd got back together once. It took a massive effort by Bob Geldof to get it done and you could see Gilmour wasn't having a great deal of fun while Roger Waters was acting like it was the greatest reunion ever…
REM the luckiest group, & Who cares? Pink Floyd did just fine without the old curmudgeon Walters!
R.E.M. never "broke up". They mutually agreed to disband after doing everything they wanted do. They are still friends and often collaborate on other projects.
What was the talking heads album
STIPE, is jist being a diva
Roger Waters – a brilliant mind, adequate bassist, complete douche of a human being.
But Pink Floyd played after Waters left for twenty years
Talking Heads
REM I'm pretty sure decided to pack it in because their drummer suffered an aneurysm while they were on tour and he decided that it would be best not to continue being their drummer because of his medical condition. I think that the band basically decided to retire because they didn't wanna keep playing without their bandmate. I don't think it had anything to do with any bad blood between any of the members of the band.
Oasis is a marketing farce that everyone has brought into. Marketing brilliance.
How about 3EB ?
Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac
C.C.R.
REM retired as far as I’m aware
CCR?
The Beatles?
Interesting
Robert Plant has made some very good albums since then.
Oasis' breakup was mild. The Davies brothers (the Kinks) fought on stage. The Fogerty brothers (CCR) sued each other for decades.
