Nice short, Mr.Trooper, sir. They had a couple of UK singles on HMV prior to '5-4-3-2-1'. 'Why Should We Not' and 'Cock-A-Hoop' which are well worth checking out. They were all fine musicians and have recently been on a farewell tour here.
The sixth thing you probably didn't know . Ellie Greenwich was embarrassed by the poor grammar in Manfred Mann's version when he sang the bridge as, "I knew we WAS falling in love." Ellie was interviewed on Wild Wayne's radio show many years ago and made a comment about how her english teacher would not have been too happy with the grammatical error. Incidentally, if you listen to the Exciters' version, they use the proper tense: were.
You can hear Ellie sing one of her songs in the group she formed with her (at that time) husband, Jeff Barry, called "The Kind of Boy You Can't Forget." The group was called The Raindrops.
Dum ditty dum…

Man you do know your stuff Wow
The shot of Ellie Greenwich is with Phil Ochs, not Jeff Barry.
Great song by legendary songwriters

Groovy 😮
That dirtbag Phil Spector put his name as a writer on everything and he never wrote a f**** thing
My Favorite Song by Manfred Mann was “The Mighty Quinn,” written by Bob Dylan. 👏👏👏 1968
