Same old story, same old Song and Dance..
The Lemon song was based on a Robert Johnson song. Same thing with Cream’s “Crossroad”
Bunch of thieves !!! I listened to page talk and he a disgusting human .
All musicians r borrowers and thieves…
Jimmy page is a session guitarist. Nothing was ever stolen ever. They’re all just cover tunes. Click bait.
It's my understanding that this occurs all the time. George Harrison was sued by John Lennon for his song My Sweet Lord. Because Lennon claimed he had used a song he had written. George Harrison ended up paying Lennon. The Beach Boys stole music from Chuck Barry in the beginning but was never sued. Dennis Wilson used a song by Charley Manson of all people. It may not be right but it does happen. You probably more likely to be sued if the song is a hit.
Steal is such a strong word.
Well if they steal em I think it’s safe to say we all owe them a “whole lota love” -they took these mediocre songs and made them amazing n great unforgettable iconic tunes! Long live the Zeppelin!!!!
The people who made this video don't know what "settled" means the context of legal proceedings. That makes this video very misleading.
Ideas and language can't be stealed, only private property.
Songs are a combination of chord progressions and Melodies. Zeppelin stole nothing.
Well every blued song could be lifted
Yes
Recording another artists is fine, but not giving credit is shady as fuck
Stole? You cant steal music, Zeppellin i´ve heard of the claimers, not!
And what about black mountain side? Certainly a Bert Jansch piece, but absolutely no credit to ol’ Bert. Page & plant were like, “Bert, credit?” “Meh, Fk him!” Haha 😂 they couldn’t even call JPJ for a quasi-reunion show, which coincidentally was pretty good. I caught it in LV in the early 90’s. My wife spiked my mushrooms 🍄 with some vodka. Damn those were good times, good times…Oh, yea, so about Black Mountain Side, Fk Bert Jansch…jimmy’s guitar 🎸 playing was better.
Give me a break!
I was chief of security for the Apollo group. (Apollo is the mythical God of Music) we worked for such artists as James Brown, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Tammy Wynette, George Straight, Madonna, And others. “Rule #1 Refuse , Deflect , Throw Back in the Face of, Kick out of the way, by any means necessary! Any tapes, manuscripts, recordings, etc that someone might attempt to get in the hands (or vicinity of) the principal! Use violence if necessary! It’s so easy to reverse a piece of music with a date stamp imbedded , it’s already released and is a hit , file a lawsuit claiming plagiarism and copyright infringements! I do know this happened to Michael Jackson. I’m not sure of the complexity, or methodology that the crooks use, but they do have a way. Just the hassle of defending a lawsuit and settling it As a nuisance to get it over with becomes a big problem.
Greatest fucking band ever
It is well known that Led Zeppelin was the band that made more plagiarisms than any other band ever. They were very talented with their instruments but they stole a lot, specially Jimmy Page
Everything comes from some thing when it music 🎶 you listen to a bunch of music your pulled in a way! And come up with your own!! What's the say 3cord rock!!
I think they did cover some blues songs- they may have subconsciously used elements in their own compositions . Similar to Harrison and my sweet lord
I never understood the verdict in the stairway to heaven song done by spirit..the jury got it way wrong..
If they did steal they did a better job than the original ones
