NILSSON – WITHOUT YOU
Great ol' Sammy😍
Where'd this list come from? Give me Bill Withers and Don McLean……you can flush the rest.
Cousin Joe should have been higher than six.
Daniel Boone also recorded DADDY DON'T YOU WALK SO FAST. It's a very good song by Daniel.
Miss Mac…and Bill W.
Only Lean on Me and American Pie were good. What a crap year in music!
Great year…in music anyway. And we got a glimpse of what was REALLY happening.
The blonde girl at American Pie reminds me of Mary Hopkin (known for "Those Were The Days").
Most of these songs meant a lot to me in 1972 (I was 9), and still do today.
Great song! Great years. Great performers

I like all of these songs except one song that was picked out for this TikTok including: Wayne Newton's "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast"; Melanie's "Brand New Key"; Mac Davis' "Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me"; Bill Withers' "Lean On Me"; Sammy Davis Jr's "The Candy Man"; Harry Nilsson's "Without You"; Don McLean's "American Pie"; Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Alone Again (Naturally)"; Roberta Flack's "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face". The only song that I didn't like or didn't care about or don't give a crap about is sung by Joe Tex's "I Gotcha". I also like most songs of that era, year, decade and of course most songs of yesteryear..
