I read that in the early '70's about his job making toilet seats. He mentioned it in an interview and said he used to entertain himself by thinking, 'Hmm, who will be using THIS toilet seat? Maybe, Jackie Onassis?'

I believe he also has a hit song, Sitting on the dock of the bay, as well as Lean on me. I remember hearing all these growing up on the AM radio in the 70's. Don't you? This is such a wonderful and iconic song. Interestingly, Tom Jones did the best version I've ever heard. There are recordings of Jone's, but i was lucky enough to see him a few times live.
