I read that in the early '70's about his job making toilet seats. He mentioned it in an interview and said he used to entertain himself by thinking, 'Hmm, who will be using THIS toilet seat? Maybe, Jackie Onassis?'
Dope video
Great loop
Thia was great!!!
Well done video. Got a sub from me young sir
I'm glad to see your back doing good, Trooper. You said his first hit. He was born and raised in the mountains of Beckley, West Virginia. I believe he also has a hit song, Sitting on the dock of the bay, as well as Lean on me. I remember hearing all these growing up on the AM radio in the 70's. Don't you? His singing was also award winning, not just hits, don't forget. Like Simon & Garfunkel, and Jim Croce. Great clip.🎸📻
I love Bill Withers! Please do more about him and his music!
Still listen to bill withers
"Who is He, and what is he to you" – a classic to me by Bill Withers 😊
Good stuff and keep up the good work
A sad song about lost love will always win out over a complaining song about tough life in the ghetto.
GREAT Song! That’s hilarious about him filling in a verse with “I No’s”! 😂 Wonderful info! Lord Bless Him! 🙏❤️
Right on Troop.😊
Rod Stewart was a grave digger…hmmm 😗😗😁
It should be: “There isn’t any sunshine.”
Love to see Mr Withers on here! Not that I love the R&R HOF but I was glad Mr Withers got his due before he passed
This is such a wonderful and iconic song. Interestingly, Tom Jones did the best version I've ever heard. There are recordings of Jone's, but i was lucky enough to see him a few times live.
Didn't know any of this. Fascinating.
Groovy 😮
One of the best songs ever written! Within the first few words I am in the groove. I love fact #3!!
Stills a session musician? When and where.I've never heard that in my life. Please give more information on that.
