  1. I like 9 songs out of 10 songs that were picked out for this TikTok including: New Seekers' "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing"; Don McLean' "American Pie"; Alice Cooper's "School's Out"; David Gates & Bread's "Everything I Own"; Daniel Boone's "Beautiful Sunday"; Harry Nilsson's "Without You"; Gallery's "Nice To Be With You"; Mac Davis' "Baby, Don't Get Hooked On Me"; Elton John's "Crocodile 🐊 Rock". I also like most songs of that era, year, decade, and of course most songs of yesteryear..

  2. It is strange because I remember hearing all but one of these songs as a kid in kindergarten! Music and visuals have always been married together in my mind! Alice Cooper and this David Bowie spooked me badly. I would later become a fan of both artists and be blessed to meet them as an adult. David Gates and his band Bread were massively popular and Elton John would explode! I remember Mac Davis from his TV show and a couple of films. "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" is the most special because I remember singing that in kindergarten class and it becoming synonymous with Coca-Cola in a famous commercial!
A very great time to grow up! It was a very good music year! 🎵👏👏👏

  3. Imo, that’s what was so cool about music back then. There were great songs in so many genres and all in the same countdown/top ten/40. And you didn’t get hung up on genres so much. A good song was a good song. Didn’t matter if it was R&B, rock, country, pop, disco, whatever. A good song was just that. A good song. And there was a lot of good music in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Not that there’s not good music nowadays. But let’s face it, good music now is rather scarce.
    ❤️💜💚
